At the Royal Horizon Beijo Mansão Ponta Sino, on the island of Sal, team spirit is not a slogan: it is a concrete commitment to our employees. This spring, two initiatives illustrated it — a day at sea bringing together all our department heads on March 29, followed by a football match organized for all our employees to mark the hotel’s first anniversary. Two moments outside the daily routine, with one shared conviction: investing in our teams means offering a better experience to our colleagues and our guests alike.

A day at sea to bring our department heads together

On March 29, all of our department heads left the resort for a full day off the coast of Sal, in the turquoise waters that have made the archipelago famous. The goal was simple: to strengthen relationships between departments, encourage teamwork, and give everyone the chance to spend time together outside the professional setting, in a relaxed environment.

It paid off. Far from radios and schedules, conversations flowed more freely, and the day helped forge stronger bonds between the people who keep the hotel running every day. The experience was so successful that a next outing is already being planned — this time by quad bike, on the island’s trails.

A football match to celebrate the hotel's first year

A few weeks later, the whole house came together for another occasion: a football match organized for our employees to mark the first anniversary of the hotel, which opened in June 2025 and was inaugurated in the presence of the Prime Minister. In a country where football makes hearts beat faster, it’s hard to imagine a better way to celebrate this first year together.

On the pitch as in the kitchen, in the dining room, or at reception, the spirit was the same: play as a team.
