PRESERVING HISTORY, INSPIRING THE FUTURE

An icon of the island guided the birth of our hotel in Cape Verde: the majestic Ponta Sino lighthouse. A historic sentinel of Santa Maria, it was faithfully rebuilt at the heart of the resort, respecting its original location and enhanced by its authentic stones. Today, its legacy shapes the contours of our resort with the precision of a compass. In this sanctuary set off the coast of Senegal, our team caters to your every wish to craft an exceptional journey, suspended between land and ocean.

Responsible water management

In an archipelago where resources are precious, we place efficiency at the heart of our technical operations:

Water self-sufficiency: Our high-performance desalination plant produces the fresh water needed for sanitary use, stored in 900 m³ tanks. A 500 m³ reserve is also dedicated exclusively to fire safety.
Filtration: The seawater in our pools, drawn from natural boreholes, undergoes an elite treatment: settling, silica filtration and sterilisation by ultraviolet (UV) rays. This system, identical to the one used in surgical theatres, guarantees crystal-clear water with no major chemical impact.
Renewal : Thanks to 12 giant filters 3 metres in diameter and high-precision bronze pumps, the entire volume of our pools (Lagoon and Olympic) is renewed every 3 hours, meeting the strictest European standards.
A pioneering design: We have the only pool in the world with a walkable technical gallery beneath the entire perimeter of the basins. Unlike conventional installations where the pipes are buried, our system allows permanent, immediate visual monitoring, avoiding any water waste in the event of a leak.

Energy performance

To reduce our carbon footprint, we combine modern technologies and renewable energy:

Mixed energy: The resort’s autonomy is strengthened by an array of photovoltaic panels and backup generators. Hot water production, meanwhile, is boosted by thermal solar panels.
High voltage : The hotel has 3 internal transformer stations handling a 20,000-volt supply to redistribute it optimally throughout the complex.
Sustainable thermal comfort : Our lagoon and our Olympic pool are warmed by high-performance heat pumps, allowing ideal swimming all year round with controlled consumption.

Protecting biodiversity and the coastline

Respecting our environment means safeguarding the marine and terrestrial ecosystems that surround us:

Dune sanctuary: We rigorously ensure the preservation of the Ponta Sino dunes. This essential natural rampart helps keep the local fauna and flora in balance.
Protecting sea turtles: By protecting this wild coastline from any disturbance (notably light and human), we offer a safe refuge to the island’s turtles. This essential approach allows them to preserve their natural cycle and seasonality for laying and hatching their eggs in complete peace.

Social commitment and local economy

Local employment: The majority of our staff come from Santa Maria and the surrounding area, supporting the local economy.
