On June 19, 2025, the Royal Horizon Ponta Sino, named the Beijo Mansão, a 5-star hotel located in Santa Maria on the island of Sal, was officially inaugurated in the presence of the Prime Minister of Cape Verde, Ulisses Correia e Silva, and the Mayor of Sal, Julio Lopez. Open to its first guests since June 1, 2025, this 572-room resort was born from the dream of its founder, Jean-Marie Gras, and enriches the high-end tourism offering of a fast-growing archipelago. More than a year after that founding day, we look back on a defining moment in the life of the hotel — and of the island.
